Remove Vinyl Faster

Professional Vinyl Remover That Cuts Labor — Not Corners

Vinyl-Off is a commercial-grade remover designed to soften both vinyl film and the adhesive underneath. It doesn't melt vinyl. It doesn't dissolve everything on contact. But when the vinyl is still intact and well-bonded, Vinyl-Off speeds up removal dramatically — saving hours on trailers, trucks, and signage.

Unlike aggressive chemical strippers like methylene chloride, Vinyl-Off gives you control. It softens the bond so you can heat and peel more cleanly — without the hazards, fumes, or surface damage.

Key Benefits:

  • ✅ Speeds up vinyl and adhesive removal in a single workflow
  • ✅ Ideal for fleet graphics, trailers, box trucks, and signage
  • ✅ Cuts down scraping, adhesive smears, and tool marks
  • ✅ Best used on cast vinyl that's still intact and bonded

Why Pros Use Vinyl-Off

Anyone who's removed baked-on vinyl knows how brutal it can be. Film splits. Adhesive smears. It's slow, sticky, and frustrating. Vinyl-Off gives you a smarter process: apply it, let it dwell, hit it with heat, and peel. When the conditions are right, the film and adhesive come off together — clean, fast, and with less mess.

What It Does (and Doesn't Do):

  • ✔️ DOES: Soften vinyl and adhesive to reduce labor
  • ✔️ DOES: Work best on cast vinyl wraps
  • DOESN'T: "Melt" vinyl or act like a paint stripper
  • DOESN'T: Fix cracked, chalky, or sun-baked film — but can help remove the mess

How to Use:

Standard Vinyl Removal

  1. On a warm surface, apply Vinyl-Off directly to the vinyl using a brush, nap roller, or cloth.
  2. Allow to dwell for 1–2 minutes (do not let it dry)
  3. Add additional heat using a heat gun or torch (medium setting)
  4. Peel — in many cases, the vinyl and adhesive come off together

Paint Protection Film (PPF) Removal

PPF is TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane), not PVC — it reacts differently than vinyl. Vinyl-Off penetrates PPF extremely well, especially when cracked or degraded.

For Intact PPF:

  1. Start with a warm surface
  2. Apply Vinyl-Off with a brush or nap roller
  3. Optional: Use the bagging technique — cover treated area with plastic sheeting to prevent evaporation and increase dwell time
  4. Apply steam heat to soften both film and adhesive
  5. Peel in sections

For Cracked or Degraded PPF:

  1. Apply Vinyl-Off generously to damaged areas — it penetrates through cracks quickly
  2. Optional: Use the bagging technique for extended dwell time
  3. Heat with heat gun, IR panel, or direct sunlight
  4. Scrape away — film and adhesive often release together with minimal effort

Surface Compatibility

Vinyl-Off is designed for professional vinyl removal on OEM automotive paint, glass, FRP, and gelcoat. Safe for indoor use and non-flammable.

Safe for These Surfaces

  • OEM Automotive Paint (with clear coat) - Professional factory paint systems
  • Glass - All automotive and marine glass
  • Gelcoat - Marine and RV gelcoat (fully cured)
  • FRP/Fiberglass - Safe for fiberglass surfaces
  • Powder Coat (good condition) - Properly cured industrial powder coat
  • Paint Protection Film (PPF/TPU) - Works on both intact and degraded film

Surfaces Requiring Testing

  • Aged Powder Coat - May soften weakened or chalky powder coat. Test in hidden area first. Common on older trailers.
  • Single Stage Paint - Enclosed trailers often have budget single stage paint that may soften. ALWAYS TEST FIRST.
  • Fresh Paint/Rattle Can - Uncured or poorly applied touch-up paint may be affected.

Protect These Areas from Contact

Vinyl-Off will haze or damage these materials on contact:

  • Plastic trim and bumpers
  • Acrylic headlights and taillights
  • Unpainted plastic substrates

Mask or protect these areas before application to avoid damage.

Always test on a small area before full application. Keep away from all acrylics, plastics, and headlights.
